Pets for everyone and A Place for Puddle

Pets for everyone with learnable abilities, the A Place for Puddle quest, 96 new cosmetics and 24 outfits, pinch to zoom and much faster loading.

Pets

  • Pets are now available to everyone. Collect and adopt as many as you like, then summon companions from the Pets tab.
  • The Gel King, all three Liches, Skeletons, Goblins, Ents, Imps and Lizardmen can now drop permanent miniature pets. Each one is shown in its creature's Collection Log and counts toward completion.
  • Added A Place for Puddle, a new quest available after First Steps. Talk to Fred the Fisher and ask "What's in the bucket?" to begin. Help a small slime find food and a home with Farmer Joe and Jack, then earn Puddle as a permanent pet, along with 50 Taria Tokens, Fishing, Foraging and Woodcutting XP, and a Quest Point. Puddle is only available through this quest.
  • My Pets and the pet shop now share one Pets catalog. Owned pets have Rename and Spawn/Despawn controls, while unowned pets can be previewed and adopted.
  • Pet abilities are learned permanently from tradeable ability manuals. Once learned, an ability can be used with any pet.
  • Pet ability manuals are rare drops from their related content: Fetch from the Gel King, Recall from the Liches, Pack Animal from Woodcutting and Foraging, Bank Runner from Mining, Shredder from Fishing, Auto Feed from Cooking, and Farmhand from harvesting crops.
  • Equip or remove abilities from Pets > Abilities while near a physical bank and out of combat. Equipped abilities work anywhere, as long as you have a free summoned pet.
  • Fetch sends your pet to collect the nearest private NPC drop.
  • Pack Animal opens a shared nine-slot Pet Pack. Items stack like they do in the bank, and you can drag items between the Pack and your inventory in amounts of 1, 5, 10, 100, All or a custom amount.
  • Bank Runner can remotely deposit up to nine item stacks or fetch one stack from your bank. Deposits happen immediately, while withdrawals arrive shortly after, and both share a cooldown.
  • Shredder turns selected raw fish into bait when you run out while fishing. Choose which fish it may use in the ability settings.
  • Auto Feed feeds you a food of your choice when your health reaches the threshold you set.
  • Recall can rescue you to spawn when a non-lethal hit leaves you at very low health. You can also permanently unlock destinations by using 25 matching teleport scrolls in the Recall settings, then travel there without using more scrolls while Recall is active.
  • Farmhand automatically waters crops, treats disease, and applies compost or mulch stored in the Pet Pack.
  • The Collection Log now has a Skills tab for rare rewards from Mining, Fishing, Woodcutting, Foraging, Cooking and Farming. It tracks manuals you earn yourself from those skills, including repeat drops. Buying or trading a manual doesn't complete its log entry.
  • The Collection Log now sorts creatures and skills alphabetically.

Store, mounts and Wardrobe

  • The Taria Store now opens straight from the minimap and brings memberships, services, cosmetics, pets and mounts together in one place.
  • The Mount Speed Beacon boost has been replaced with Unlimited Teleports, which make destination scrolls reusable while the boost is active.
  • Mounts can now be renamed from the Mounts window without summoning them. Owned mount cards show the new name right after renaming.
  • Mount previews and detail cards now have larger artwork and clearer controls. Riders also sit more naturally on mounts other than horses while moving.
  • Added a lot of new mounts.
  • Expanded the Wardrobe with 96 new cosmetics and 24 complete outfits. Browse full looks, see which pieces you already own, buy only the missing pieces at 10% off, and wear the whole outfit in one click.
  • Added six full-body creature transformations: Cyclops, Marsh Lizard, Sunscale Saurian, Azure Drake, Meadow Rabbit and Field Mouse. Transformations replace your visible body and hide the clothing and armor you're wearing.
  • Wardrobe items now have clearer categories and filters, including separate accessory filters. Checkout shows the exact Gem or Taria Token cost and can buy and wear a look in one step.
  • Updated the Bush Helm with a green cap, a red feather and a matching inventory icon.
  • Fixed the Azure Glowblade being invisible in Wardrobe previews.

Gameplay and interface

  • Settings has been redesigned into Gameplay, Audio, Graphics and Account tabs with clearer controls and a more consistent layout.
  • Desktop and web players can now set keyboard and mouse shortcuts for HUD tabs, chat, chat channels and all nine hotbar slots in Settings > Gameplay > Configure Hotkeys.
  • The first inventory row now stands out as the hotbar, with a label, brass trim and darker slots.
  • Pinch with two fingers to zoom the world and the world map, or use the mouse wheel on desktop and web. Scrolling panels such as chat and the bank can also be swiped anywhere inside them, with smooth momentum, without reaching for the scroll bar.
  • The minimap is now round, with matching round markers for items, NPCs, players, social markers and quest guides.
  • Player Stats now opens from beneath the character preview in the Inventory. Report & Feedback has moved beside Chat and the World Map, while the Beacon and the Taria Store use the freed minimap tabs.
  • Long item descriptions and bonuses now stay inside their own scrolling areas, so the Use and Drop buttons stay visible.
  • Failed crafting attempts now explain the missing skill level, ingredient or quest requirement.
  • Actions chosen by the server now outline their target in the world, including gathering and farming.

Chat and accounts

  • Desktop and web chat now says "Press Enter to chat". Enter focuses chat and sends your message on the next press, while Escape leaves chat without losing your draft.
  • Chat safety controls have been expanded. Typed chat asks for your birthday and a safety acknowledgement, while the curated emojis stay available without verification. An optional parent PIN can protect birthday changes and turning chat back on.
  • Public chat filtering has been adjusted to reduce false positives while still blocking curated profanity.
  • Account deletion now has a visible 30-day grace period. A scheduled deletion can be cancelled in Settings > Account > Account Deletion, and a reminder appears on login.
  • Mobile players are now asked once per character whether they want notifications after closing the Welcome screen. The setting can still be changed later.
  • Players who skipped choosing a username can use /namechange for their free name change, with a reminder on login until they use it.
  • Tutorial username errors are now shown more clearly, and the fallback option is labeled "Use generated name".

Performance and fixes

  • Starting and loading the game is significantly faster, especially on Android. Updates now show the current loading stage, the client version and the graphics renderer.
  • Graphics backends can now be changed from the main menu settings on supported platforms: Vulkan or OpenGL ES on Android, the available DirectX 12, Vulkan and OpenGL options on desktop, and WebGPU or WebGL on the web.
  • Fixed OpenGL startup, black screens, rendering and backend switching on Linux under Wayland and X11.
  • Fixed hair colors not showing correctly on some Android devices.
  • If the web game fails to start, it now shows a clear error with diagnostic details instead of a black screen, and unusually slow starts show their current step with a retry option.
  • Desktop downloads and preferences now live in one permanent app folder, so temporary file cleanup and reboots no longer remove game files or reset the menu music setting.
  • Fixed empty melee swings leaving the attack button stuck on cooldown until you moved.
  • Fixed eating food and other routine stat updates resetting your character's animation.
  • Fixed transparent player pixels creating square holes through NPCs standing behind them.
  • Referral rewards now wait until the referrer is online and stay saved until delivered, so they're no longer lost during logouts or connection problems.
  • Fixed occasional web purchase confirmation failures caused by duplicate payment confirmations.
  • Discord now keeps one live world status card with update countdowns, server status, uptime, and quick links to account linking, the wiki, the leaderboards, the web game, Google Play and the App Store.
