Archery, Fletching and Foraging
Archery, Fletching and Foraging arrive, along with a Toolbelt, an in-game Report window, Tilly's random events and much better mobile controls.
The patch released on July 10, 2026.
Archery, Fletching and Foraging
- Added Archery as a new combat skill! Fight from a distance with crossbows and bolts from bronze through emberite. Starting archery gear can be found in the Archery Shop.
- Added Fletching as a new production skill. Turn flax into string, and combine logs, feathers, metal bars and crossbow limbs to create bolts, crossbows, mulch and more.
- Added Foraging as a new gathering skill. Wild plants can now be gathered throughout Taria, starting with flax found on full green grass tiles.
- Added a Fletching Bench, an Archery Shop and a Fletching Shop south of the blacksmith in the forest.
- Added turkeys, which drop the feathers used to make bolt shafts.
- Added flax drops to support early Foraging and Fletching progression.
- Melee armor now has negative Archery bonuses. Wearing heavy melee gear may stop you dealing Archery damage, so your equipment matters when switching combat styles.
Farming
- Added multiple tiers of mulch, made from different log types through Fletching. Better mulch helps crops hold water for longer.
- Added a single option to fill a crop's compost and mulch completely with supplies from your inventory.
- Crop outlines now show water, compost, mulch and health, making it much easier to check your farm at a glance.
- Greatly reduced crop disease rates.
- Crops can now be planted closer together.
- The minimap is now visible inside the farm.
- Fixed several farming visual issues, including untilled tiles sometimes looking tilled.
Combat and NPCs
- Reworked melee range, hitboxes and target selection to make close-range combat feel much more consistent.
- Improved NPC chasing so enemies follow players more reliably.
- Interaction options now appear for anything within your current interaction range.
- Interaction range now matches melee range, keeping movement, combat and interactions consistent.
- Added an optional Auto Retaliate setting. When it's on, your character automatically attacks NPCs that attack you.
- The attack button now previews which action it will perform before you press it.
- Added a Pickup All option for drops from NPCs you kill.
- NPC health bars now use their own color, and damage you deal and damage you take have unique colors too, making busy fights easier to read.
- NPCs now stop moving while talking with a player.
- Fixed NPCs sometimes moving without facing the right direction.
- Fixed position drift that could make players and NPCs appear far from their real server position over time.
- Player and NPC positions are now anchored at the bottom-center of their feet, improving movement, targeting and collision accuracy.
Travel, drops and world
- Added several new teleport items.
- NPCs can now drop teleports to nearby locations, giving more useful travel rewards while exploring and fighting.
- Lich bosses now drop two different Skeleton Key halves. Combine both halves at an anvil with the required Smithing level to create a reusable Skeleton Dungeon teleport.
- NPCs now drop raw food instead of cooked food, giving Cooking a more useful role in regular combat progression.
- Greatly improved world map performance.
- Added ground item dots to the world map.
- Randomly walking NPCs, including the ones on the main menu, now check collisions, so they no longer wander through blocked areas.
- Fixed several map issues and a visual problem with the Skeleton Dungeon gates.
Toolbelt, inventory and crafting
- Added a Toolbelt with dedicated slots for your weapon, pickaxe, axe, hoe, watering can, scythe, fishing net, fishing rod, cage and harpoon.
- Tools stored in the Toolbelt stay available for their actions while freeing up normal inventory space.
- Items can now be used straight from the Inventory window.
- When dragging an item, its matching equipment slot now highlights.
- Crafting progress now updates in real time while items are being made.
- Reduced the skill requirements for most tools, so upgrades become available sooner.
- Greatly adjusted the maximum resources available from gathering nodes.
- Fixed inventory items wrongly appearing in the listings view of player-owned shops.
Reports, random events and notifications
- Added a new in-game Report window: report rule-breaking players, submit bug reports, or send feedback and suggestions straight from the game.
- Added optional random events featuring Tilly. You can choose whether to take part when she appears.
- Added notification settings for supported in-game events. Discord and mobile notifications can be turned on in Settings > Notification Settings.

- Members can now see the live locations of friends and guild members on the world map.
- Friends appear as green dots on the minimap, and guild members as orange dots.
- Increased friend limits:
- Free: 100
- Bronze: 250
- Silver: 500
- Gold: 1,000
- Added guild rank icons above player names.
- Name Change Tokens, Guild Space Increases, Guild Name Change Tokens and Pet Name Change Tokens are now tradeable.

Mobile and controls
- GREATLY improved mobile input handling to reduce missed taps and accidental button presses. (Mobile is 1000x better to use now.)

- On first launch, the mobile app now adds safe-area padding automatically, so notches and screen cutouts don't block the controls.
- Added an option to remember your mobile sign-in and skip the sign-in prompt when opening the game.
- The thumbstick now always moves your character at full speed, wherever you press it, so movement feels more like WASD.
- Moved the chatbox up slightly so the chat filter buttons are easier to press.
- Fixed players getting stuck walking after right-clicking in the web client.
